My colleagues at SCD recently uploaded a tool I find extremely valuable in doing my pricing work: SCD Auctions, which is sort of like eBay’s “Complete Auctions” search except it yields results from traditional auction houses like Mastro, Mile High, Robert Edward, and many of their equally reputable peers.
This free tool gives you sortable results with minimal clicks. Many Standard Catalog reader-collectors will find it a great way to answer a couple of burning questions–especially when once cross-references eBay completed auction results with this great online resource:
1) What’s the going rate for this card I have in hand in this PSA/GAI/SGC/Beckett slab worth?
2) Should I take this card to an auction house or hang it on eBay myself?
Trust me when I say this represents a lot of work, a lot of sorting, and a lot of data entry. It’s SCD’s gift to the hobby, it was a couple years in the making, and it took more work “under the hood” than you can imagine. Enjoy!
