This is me. My eyes look big because spend a lot of caffeine-amped hours reading all that fine print in the Standard Catalog pages and cross-referencing it with stuff on my computer screen, often for days at a time without sleep. All in the name of doing my best to bring you the most accurate, up-to-date price guide annual in print.
I’m Don Fluckinger, I’m the editor of the SCD Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards. I began writing about sports cards 10 years ago for Tuff Stuff, and I’m still writing the “Web Stuff” column each month. I also do the “Online Auctioneer,” “Vintage Market Report,” and “Standard Catalog Update” for Sports Collector’s Digest.
I lean heavily on my colleagues at Sports Collectors Digest, Tuff Stuff, and Krause books—namely Joe Clemens, Steve Bloedow, Justin Moen, Chris Nerat, T.S. O’Connell, Scott Kelnhofer (you can’t spell his name without “HOF’er,” how cool is that?), Scott Fragale, and others to help me get the job done. I hope I haven’t left anyone out—if so, apologies!
